Job Role:
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer/Painter to join our general maintenance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and aesthetics of our facilities. As a Plasterer/Painter, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to plastering and painting, contributing to the overall maintenance and appearance of our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Plastering
- Apply plaster, stucco, or similar materials to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
- Repair and patch damaged or cracked surfaces
- Ensure a smooth and even finish.
Painting
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary
- Apply paint or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Select appropriate paint colours to match existing surfaces.
Surface Inspection
- Inspect surfaces to identify areas in need of repair or maintenance
- Address issues like cracks, holes, or water damage.
Material Management
- Maintain an inventory of plaster, paint, and related materials
- Order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Safety Compliance
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times
- Ensure the safe use of tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a plasterer/painter in a general maintenance role
- Knowledge of plastering and painting techniques
- Familiarity with various types of paints and coatings
- Ability to operate painting equipment and tools
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks
- Safety-conscious and adherence to safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license (if required).
